Pre-Stretching and proof loading
Utilizing our indoor stretching range, we offer pre-stretching, proof loading, and precise measurements of rope lengths under nominal load.
On-Site fitting
Our experienced technicians provide on-site fitting services, including the installation of special end fittings, with several team members approved by Liebherr.
Socketing
Our team attaches a variety of end sockets using Wirelock® Resin, Zinc Alloy, or White Metal, facilitated by our 4m high socketing tower.
Demag
We can supply and fit Demag rope sockets, shackles, wedge sockets, load handling attachments and a variety of lifting accessories.
Rope lubrication
We offer wire rope lubrication services for both new and existing ropes, enhancing durability and performance.

Historical legacy
Founded by Arthur Latch, Telford Clarence Batchelor, and Henry Herbert Horsfall, Latch & Batchelor pioneered the development of Locked Coil and Flattened Strand Wire Ropes for mining applications. Our innovations have been integral to mining operations worldwide, from the goldfields of India and Africa to nickel mines in Australia. Notably, we supplied the 78mm diameter Locked Coil Wire Rope for Australia’s Warragamba Dam, which has been in use since the dam’s opening in 1960.
