Group Chairman and CEO, Charles has worked in the wire and wire rope industry for over 40 years. Charles’ leadership skills backed up with his technical expertise and real passion for manufacturing have enabled him to successfully navigate the trading company through a period of significant change. Furthermore, Charles’ vision for Tyseley Energy Park has elevated the Group to an exciting new level.

Robert Horsfall

Robert Horsfall

Director/Secretary

Robert is a CIMA qualified accountant responsible for the group’s Finance and Human Resource functions. Robert graduated in 2000 from the University of Manchester with a BA(Hons) Economics, specialising in Accountancy & Finance. Before joining Webster & Horsfall in 2003, Robert lived in Edinburgh and worked within the Financial Services industry.

Director of Property

Chartered Surveyor with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and an associate member of the Royal Town Planning Institute. Joined W&H in 2008 to support the consolidation of the manufacturing operation and the delivery of Tyseley Energy Park.

Jeremy Robinson

Jeremy Robinson

Non-Executive Director

Jeremy has a master’s degree from Kings College London and has had a successful Army career spanning strategic, operational & tactical levels for over 26 years. Within the Army, Jeremy commanded 500 soldiers which involved complex activity spanning 4 continents. In 2015 Jeremy joined our Holding company as a non-executive director and is responsible for bringing independent judgements to bear on issues of strategy, performance and resources.

Jonathan Horsfall

Jonathan Horsfall

Sales Director

Jonathan has a degree in Material Engineering. He provides quality assurance in current production and also a developmental role in customers’ new and future requirements. He has gained extensive manufacturing and engineering experience since joining W&H in 2007.

Alex Helliwell

Alex Helliwell

Engineering Director

Obtained an Electrical Engineering degree at Aston University. Joined W&H in 2006 as an apprentice. He has an extensive understanding of the site and manufacturing process with a specialism in plant development and innovation.

Mike Liddington

Mike Liddington

Operations Director

Gained an Honours Degree in Product Design and Manufacture from Loughborough University. Oversees the general day to day operation of the wire and rope mill having joined W&H in 2012. Previously worked extensively in the outsource Manufacturing department at Ericsson.
